Since 9-11 he has again been a most sought after knowledgeable talent in the electronic and print media. Time waits for no man (or woman) so while waiting for his renaissance, he was a sought after, freelancer/High Technology Analyst and Reporter for KWGN Television (Channel 2 News—Tribune Broadcasting) in Denver; a Technology Analyst for over 30 radio stations/affiliates that make up the Radio America News Network, Technology Editor for the Capital Internet Broadcast Network, and Military/Technology Analyst for WMAL Radio (ABC) in Washington, DC. Rocky Mountain Television (RMTV) Network is his own television production company where he, as a resident naturalist, produces/hosts many outdoor-related syndicated TV programs. Lightbody is a Regional Correspondent for Fishing & Hunting News, and a regular contributor to many of the leading outdoor publications. Lightbody is an active member of numerous professional organizations including the Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA), the Rocky Mountain Outdoor Writers and Photographers Association (RMOWP), and the Society of Aerospace Communicators (SAC). Lightbody’s broadcasts on CBS Radio (KNX in Los Angeles) won him a “Golden Mike Award” as part of the Best News Program for 1990. He is also a recipient of one of the highest civilian award from the government of Poland, for his broadcasts stressing freedom for all people—Knight Second Class, Order of Pelonia Restitutia. Lightbody has been book author for Publications International (Publishers of Consumer Guide Magazine), Challenge Publications, International Defense Images, NorthCape Publications; and author of the book, “Terrorism Survival guide—101 Travel Tips On How Not To Become A Victim (Dell Publishing 1987). Works in progress include, The Terrorism and Traveler’s Survival Guide—201 Travel Tips On How Not To Become A Victim. (To be published in spring 2003); and syndicated radio and television programs on defense, aerospace, high technology, travel safety and terrorism. He has authored, co-authored, edited and contributed to dozens of books on military, aerospace, high technology, automotive systems and the outdoors.
